Well, I also happen to quite like my style. I won't pretend there's any ideology that goes with it; I just like how it looks on me.

I'm 18, I'm at college, and the government pays me £20 a week just for showing up to my classes. Beyond self-indulgence, what else should I be doing?

It's all well and good.  You should note rarely anything I say should be taken too seriously. 

Also, you could be doing something for the greater benefit of humanity.  Not being stupid suffices, but it's an option.  I guess I don't do much but self-indulge.

Well, then again, I consider, among other things, sitting around analyzing literature self-indulging.

Well, I'm not too enamoured with that idea. I'd rather sit around and work on my Uni portfolio, during the days I can't afford to go out. Designing, customising outfits, et cetera. Humanity as a whole isn't my concern.
